President Joe Biden started the week off on Monday in characteristic fashion, lying about his role in a historical event. The president falsely claimed that he stood amid the wreckage of the Twin Towers the day after the September 11 attacks. In reality, he didn't visit Ground Zero until more than a week after the attacks.
Biden's ahistorical claim followed a blunder-filled visit to Vietnam, where during a press conference he asked multiple times for reporters to repeat their questions and eventually got cut off by his own press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre.
Biden alerted the media during the press conference that he was ready for his eight hours of beauty sleep, saying, "I don't know about you, but I'm going to bed." That'll be sure to ease Americans' worries about the president's vigor.
Have a great weekend!
