Trump: Hillary Clinton Is ‘In a Certain Way Evil’

February 9, 2016

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump called Hillary Clinton evil in no uncertain terms Tuesday morning during a word association game immediately after acknowledging that the Democratic primary frontrunner attended his wedding.

Appearing on MSNBC's Morning Joe, Trump played a word association game in which co-host Mika Brzezinski read the names of presidential candidates to the real estate mogul and he would have to give a one-word response of what comes to mind upon hearing their names.

When Hillary Clinton's name came up, Trump paused to think for a moment until co-host Joe Scarborough reminded the GOP frontrunner that Clinton attended his wedding.

"She went to your wedding, remember," Scarborough reminded Trump.

"She did, she did, she did," Trump said while still thinking. "In a certain way, evil."

Trump repeated himself with a thoughtful look on is face, causing Brzezinski to say, "Woah!"

When asked about Hillary's husband, Bill, however, Trump was more complimentary, calling the former president intelligent.

Trump was not so kind to GOP challenger Jeb Bush, who Trump has flustered and frustrated since taking the campaign trail. Bush said Trump was a loser when playing the same word association game on Monday, and Trump responded in kind, also referring to Bush as a loser without hesitation.

The real estate mogul referred to Marco Rubio as confused and Ted Cruz as nasty, but called himself brilliant.

"Now [Russian President Vladimir] Putin said, ‘Trump is brilliant,’ right?" Trump then asked. "And the Republicans wanted me to disavow his statement [to say], ‘He's a horrible person and all.’ I said I'm not going to disavow that statement. Why would I ever disavow that statement?"

"No, I'm only - I would say nice person, I'm a nice person," Trump added while indicating he is joking. "I'm a lot nicer than people think."

Trump praised Putin in December for being "bright and talented" and drew criticism for refusing to condemn the Russian leader's aggression against other states and reported violence against political opponents and journalists.

"He’s running his country, and at least he’s a leader, you know, unlike what we have in this country," Trump previously told Morning Joe when asked about Putin, who complimented Trump's leadership.
