Foreign meddling in the U.S. presidential election escalated over the weekend when a prominent Swedish national urged Americans to "get organized and get everyone to vote" for Joe Biden, the Democratic candidate.
Greta Thunberg, the notorious child scofflaw who oversees an international network of radical truants, announced her support for Biden on Saturday despite being legally barred from participating in U.S. elections.
"I never engage in party politics," the 17-year-old Swede said on Twitter. "But the upcoming US elections is above and beyond all that. From a climate perspective it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn!"
In actively seeking to influence the outcome of the U.S. election in Biden's favor, Thunberg has made common cause with the governments of Iran and China, who are also seeking to sabotage President Donald J. Trump's reelection campaign, according to intelligence reports.
Given Thunberg's environmental fanaticism, her alliance with China is a curious one. According to science, the communist country emitted almost 14 billion tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere in 2019, or nearly three times as much as the United States.
It's possible that Thunberg's pro-Biden meddling—which the candidate has yet to disavow—was inspired by the selection of Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) as his running mate. As attorney general of California, Harris launched a brutal crackdown on absentee schoolchildren as part of her campaign pledge to get tough on truancy.
Perhaps Thunberg, who rose to prominence by skipping school to protest "climate change," is seeking to avoid legal consequences by embracing the Biden-Harris ticket. Democrats are heavily favored to win back the White House in 2020, but given the egregious amount of foreign meddling it would be hard to view such a victory as anything other than tainted, if not illegal.
