WATCH: Netanyahu Praises UNC Frat Bros, Republicans Chant 'USA' While Democrats Pout

Left-wing activists cheer Hamas, threaten Jews, and burn American flag

Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday praised the University of North Carolina fraternity brothers who defended the American flag from pro-Hamas activists earlier this year. The Israeli prime minister's remarks, delivered to members of Congress on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, earned a standing ovation from the predominately Republican audience.

The GOP lawmakers started a thunderous chant of "USA" in the chamber while their Democratic colleagues sulked in their seats. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) held up a sign describing Netanyahu as a "war criminal" who was "guilty of genocide." Most Democrats didn't even bother to show up.

Elsewhere in the nation's capital, left-wing activists cheered Hamas while threatening to kill Jews, and hurled expletives while burning the American flag in front of Union Station, a popular homeless encampment near Capitol Hill. Alas, there were no fraternity brothers nearby to stop them from defiling Old Glory.
