Kamala Harris formally accepted the Democratic nomination for president on Thursday at her party's convention in Chicago. After serving nearly four years as vice president, Harris promised to chart a "new way forward" if elected. What that would look like is anyone's guess, but we can all acknowledge that we are witnessing one of the best political orators in American history at work.

It may be too early to say where Harris ranks among the all-time greats of FDR, JFK, Ronald Reagan, and George W. Bush, but it certainly is exciting to watch this master rhetorician at the top of her game. And she's just getting started!
