Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump gave a victory speech Tuesday night from Trump Tower in Manhattan after winning all five states that held primaries earlier the same day.
With New Jersey Governor Chris Christie standing by his right shoulder, Trump touted his victories in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island to a crowd of supporters and a large group of reporters.
"This is a far bigger win than we even expected. All five, that is something," Trump said to the audience.
The real estate mogul criticized his two remaining primary challengers, Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) and Ohio Governor John Kasich, for agreeing to not campaign in certain states in an effort to help each other gain delegates and stop Trump from getting the Republican nomination.
"They put you in jail for collusion. [In] politics, you are allowed to get away with it," Trump said.
He blasted Kasich for staying in the race despite still having fewer delegates than Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.), who dropped out of the presidential race on March 15 after losing the Florida primary.
Trump said his next focus is on Indiana, which is set to hold its primary May 3. The GOP frontrunner told the crowd that legendary former Indiana University basketball coach Bobby Knight has endorsed and will join him on the campaign trail, calling Knight the "gold standard" for the Hoosier State.
Turning to his main talking points, Trump promised to punish companies that decide to leave the United States, arguing America’s free trade agreements ship jobs overseas and hurt the economy. He also reaffirmed his commitment to build a wall on the southern border to stop the flow of illegal immigration into the country.
Trump then declared that he will beat presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in a general election, sounding confident after his strong showing Tuesday night.
