Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton dodged questions on the Clinton Foundation's "pay-to-play" allegations on Thursday as she visited a family-owned small business, Dorinda's Chocolates, in Reno, Nevada.
Surrounded by press, Clinton taste-tested a piece of chocolate while also making small talk with some of the store's staff. She complimented the chocolate, saying that she enjoyed the salty taste.
After one of the employees asked Clinton if her staff would like to try some, a reporter asked Clinton, "Now is a good time for a question, right?" Clinton responded with a smirk, while saying that the employee should offer the press some chocolates.
"I want you to offer it to all the press there, Sue. They're so wonderful, so cooperative, so hardworking. They all deserve a piece of chocolate," Clinton said.
"Secretary Clinton, any comment on your foundation?" a reporter asked.
Clinton did not respond or even acknowledge the reporter. Other reporters tried to ask questions, but then one of her staffers said, "All right folks, thank you." Clinton then raved again about the chocolate, telling the press that they should try one.
Clinton walked over to her campaign staff while the employees holding the trays served as barriers between the press and Clinton.
Clinton has not held a press conference for 264 days.
