OPINION: Don't Ban Chocolate Milk in Schools. Let Kids Decide If They Want To Transition to Obesity.

Fat bodies (of all ages) are healthy and beautiful. To suggest otherwise is literally violence.

May 16, 2023

What is happening: The Biden administration is mulling a federal ban on chocolate milk in public elementary and middle schools.

• Health officials argue the added sugars in chocolate milk (and other flavored varieties) contribute to childhood obesity.

• Democrat-controlled cities such as Washington, D.C., and San Francisco have already banned the sugary beverage in school cafeterias.

Why it matters: Children should be allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies. Democrats claim to believe this, so they should stop being such hypocrites by punishing children who want to transition from "healthy" to obese.

• A policy based on the false premise that obesity (at any age) is bad is a policy that sends a dangerous message to our children.

• Instead of banning sugary beverages in schools, the federal government should subsidize their consumption and pass laws that protect children from overbearing parents who might try to discourage their transition to fatness.
