President Donald Trump tweeted Tuesday that "Chuck and Nancy"–referring to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.)–want illegal immigrants to flood into the United States.

"Meeting with ‘Chuck and Nancy' today about keeping government open and working. Problem is they want illegal immigrants flooding into our Country unchecked, are weak on Crime and want to substantially RAISE Taxes. I don't see a deal!," Trump tweeted.

Trump is meeting with Pelosi and Schumer on Tuesday about extending government funding past the Dec. 8 deadline. Aside from funding the government, they are expected to discuss additional issues, to include immigration. Democrats and some Republicans want a deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) immigration amnesty program that has provided legal protections to "dreamers," undocumented immigrants who were brought into the United States as children. Trump, in turn, wants funding for a border wall.

Some Democrats have threatened to shut down the government, which will occur if a funding bill is not passed, if there isn't a deal on DACA.

Earlier Tuesday morning, Trump appeared to tweet in response to a recent Vanity Fair article that claimed Melania Trump never wanted to be first lady.

"Melania, our great and very hard working First Lady, who truly loves what she is doing, always thought that "if you run, you will win." She would tell everyone that, "no doubt, he will win." I also felt I would win (or I would not have run) – and Country is doing great!," Trump tweeted.

He also continued his feud with the NFL over national anthem protests.

"At least 24 players kneeling this weekend at NFL stadiums that are now having a very hard time filing up. The American public is fed up with the disrespect the NFL is paying to our Country, our Flag and our National Anthem. Weak and out of control!" Trump tweeted.
