Kredo Updates One America News on Iran's Anti-U.S. Protests

February 15, 2017

The Washington Free Beacon's senior writer Adam Kredo updated Liz Wheeler of One America News Network on Iran's recent marches against the United States. The protests came in the wake of the Iranian regime celebrating the anniversary of the country's Islamic Revolution.

Kredo noted that each year in Tehran, the celebration of the Islamic revolution consists of burning American flags and effigies of the current U.S. president. The mass protests against the U.S. were not for an international audience, as much as for their own people, he said.

"A lot of this is political posturing by the Iranian government and it's really meant to serve a domestic purpose," Kredo said. "This is to bolster spirits at home and is for internal consumption rather than external consumption."

Kredo added that these massive fits by the Islamic regime are proof that they are not a strong country and that Iran's actions show how they test the waters, including with the Iran nuclear deal.

"The Iranians are always pushing buttons, whether it be with these types of 'death to America,' 'death to Israel' parades or whether they're buzzing U.S. ships in the Persian Gulf or even harassing our allies in the region," Kredo said. "The Iranians are a country and a people that like to test the waters."

"They want to see just how far they can go," he continued. "That's what this nuclear agreement was really about."
