MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski on Tuesday was visibly annoyed by President Donald Trump calling those responsible for the Monday Ariana Grande concert bombing "evil losers."
British Prime Minister Theresa May delivered a statement on Tuesday condemning the attack that killed at least 22 people and injured 59 people, many of whom were children.
"For as so often, while we experienced the worst of humanity in Manchester last night, we also saw the best, " May said. "The cowardice of the attacker met the bravery of the emergency services and the people of Manchester. The attempt to divide us met countless acts of kindness that brought people closer together, and in the days ahead those must be the things we remember."
Brzezinski looked and sounded irritated when she compared May's label for the bombing perpetrators to Trump's.
"Joe, she called the perpetrator the 'worst of humanity' and President Trump called him a 'loser,'" Brzezinski said.
"I think most Americans and most British would agree with both of those assessments," co-host Joe Scarborough said.
Trump was speaking in the West Bank on Tuesday alongside Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas when he offered his condolences to the victims and said that the U.S. stood in "absolute solidarity" with the United Kingdom, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
"So many young, beautiful, innocent people living and enjoying their lives murdered by evil losers in life," Trump said. "I won't call them monsters, because they would like that term. They would think that's a great name. I will call them from now on losers, because that's what they are. They're losers, and we'll have more of them, but they're losers. Just remember that."
