Hillary Clinton Supporter: Ben Carson ‘Trying out for Uncle Tom’s Cabin,’ ‘Men Have Proved They Like to Start Wars’

The vox patchouli

A Democratic caller from Maryland supporting Hillary Clinton went off on Ben Carson, the Republican Party and the male gender Monday morning in a racially charged, stream-of-consciousness rant on the C-SPAN program Washington Journal.

The woman said Carson, a prominent black conservative, was "trying out for Uncle Tom's Cabin, because it's kind of full right now with Allen West and the crew." West is a black Republican who recently served in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Mary also said she would support Clinton for president because "men have proved they like to start wars" and she would "make sure there will not be a male president."

She only signed off after saying President Obama had dealt with "nothing but racism" while in office and urged other callers to never watch Fox News or listen to radio host Rush Limbaugh.

"Alrighty," the C-SPAN host said before moving to another caller.

Full exchange:

HOST: Mary's on the line for Democrats.

CALLER: Good morning. I am a black woman from Fort Washington, Maryland. And yes, Hillary Clinton will run for office and she will win. And let me say this. Mr. Carson, the only thing he's going to be doing is trying out for Uncle Tom's Cabin, because it's kind of full right now with Allen West and the crew. But you know, men have proved they like to start wars. Mrs. Clinton will be a great president. It's time for a woman, and I will be out as her cheerleader. I'm going to make sure there will not be a male president. Yes, Barack Obama has had nothing but racism fly around in his face, and some of you callers need to stay away from Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. Please have a great day.

HOST: Alrighty.
