Gutowski Previews the NRA's Upcoming Annual Meeting

Washington Free Beacon reporter Stephen Gutowski gave a preview of the National Rifle Association's upcoming annual meeting in Atlanta in an interview Wednesday with NRATV's Colion Noir.

Noir and Gutowski discussed the differences between this year's meeting and what they had experienced at last year's gathering now that Donald Trump is president.

Noir said he believes this year's meeting will have a "more positive vibe," citing concerns last year about gun rights due to Obama administration policies and the upcoming election where Hillary Clinton was leading Trump in many polls. Gutowski agreed there was concern last year but added that this week's meetings should be more positive.

"Last year's annual meeting, you had the sort of specter that Hillary Clinton could become president and she was, she ran as one of the most gun control-favoring candidates in history really, by her own campaign's admission, so there was a lot of concern about that at the annual meeting," Gutowski said.

"The tone will probably be different; it will probably be more positive; it will probably be more about we avoided this threat to our gun rights, [so] now let's see what we can do to expand them," Gutowski added.
