LGBTQ and environmental activists joined forces in Washington, D.C. on Saturday to hold a dance party protest outside of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner's house.
The environmentalists and LGBTQ activists were protesting President Donald Trump's executive order that scales back the Obama administration's environmental regulations. According to the "Queer Dance Party for Climate Justice at Ivanka Trump's House!" Facebook event page, protesters were told to,"get ready to shake what your Mamma Earth gave ya and WERK it for climate justice!"
"Thankfully, Ivanka Trump, 'BFF of the gays,' supposed climate czar, and brand new employee of the Trump Administration has invited us to come and party in her neighborhood, leaving behind biodegradable glitter that will sparkle in the moonlight," the page reads. "It turns out Rex Tillerson, former CEO of Exxon, Sec. of State and Putin’s BFF, lives right next door!"
The group met at Dupont Circle and paraded down to "Ivanka-poo’s neighborhood to send the clear message that our climate and our communities matter."
"We are out here to say send a message to protect Mother Earth," one organizer told WUSA9.
Law enforcement had to barricade the property around Ivanka's D.C. home.

Protesters danced to music while waving Pride flags and various signs.
"His policies in general have worked to desecrate the environment movement," one protester said. "We understand jobs are important but so is our air, so is our water, so is our land."
Ivanka Trump lives in her D.C. home with husband Jared Kushner and their three children, the youngest being one year old.
