Frenchman to Fox News: Trump Is Crazy and Europe Wants Hillary to Win

May 17, 2016

A French man walking on the streets of New York Tuesday told Fox News he thinks Donald Trump is "crazy" and Europe wants Hillary Clinton to win the presidential election.

In a man-on-the-street segment for the morning show Fox & Friends, co-host Steve Doocy flagged down the man to discuss the 2016 election. The gentleman quickly explained he was foreign.

"I'm French. I don't know anything about your questions," he said.

Doocy, brandishing a printout of The Drudge Report's banner headline about Hillary Clinton's unpopularity, was unfazed.

"Oh, you're French? That's good," Doocy said. "Are you following the political campaign here?"

"A little bit," he replied.

He may have claimed to know nothing, but he identified the woman on the Drudge board as Hillary Clinton, and he knew she was a Democrat.

"Do you think she's going to win?" Doocy asked.

"I think so. I hope so," the Frenchman replied.

"The people of France want Hillary to win?" Doocy asked excitedly.

"Europe wants," he said.

"Why not Donald Trump?" Doocy asked.

"He's crazy," the man replied.

"How do you say crazy in French?" Doocy asked.

"Fou," the man said. It's pronounced "FOO."

"See? We're learning things! Thank you very much," Doocy said.

It was a great segment.
