Hillary Clinton mocked Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I., Vt.) speaking style on the campaign trail Wednesday, ABC reported, even though she frequently says how much more civil the Democratic race is over the Republicans.
"I think if I'm asking you to vote for me, you should know what I want to do. And not just, you know, lots of arm waving and hot rhetoric," Clinton said at a Philadelphia campaign stop.
Throughout the Democratic primary, both Sanders and Clinton have praised their party's tone and for being less negative than Republicans, especially Donald Trump.
However, in recent days, both of the Democrats have taken sharper jabs at one another.
"She has been saying lately that she thinks that I am quote-unquote not qualified to be president. I don't think that she is qualified if she is, through her Super PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds," Sanders said to a large crowd in Philadelphia.
The fiery exchanges between the two campaigns hasĀ even led to a stalemate as to whether the candidates would hold another debate in New York. The two have agreed to one which will occur in Brooklyn on Thursday, April 14.
Sanders routed Clinton in the Wisconsin Democratic primary on Tuesday, the latest in a string of victories for the senator that have contributed to the nastier exchanges between the two campaigns. Clinton still holds a lead in the overall delegate count, but Sanders has maintained he will fight all the way to the Democratic convention.
