Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley warned that the U.S. "will be taking names" of U.N. member states who support a resolution on Thursday that calls for President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital to be withdrawn.

Haley used her first veto at the U.N. Security Council on Monday against a resolution rejecting Trump's recognition of Jerusalem. Trump's decision also included plans to move the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a promise made for decades in American politics by Democrats and Republicans.

Haley slammed the U.N. as being detrimental to the Israeli-Palestinian relationship and called the resolution an "insult" that wouldn't be forgotten.

Now the U.N. General Assembly will hold an emergency session at the request of Arab and Muslim states about Trump's decision, and Haley was quick to respond Tuesday.

"At the UN we're always asked to do more & give more," Haley wrote. "So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR embassy, we don't expect those we've helped to target us. On Thurs there'll be a vote criticizing our choice. The US will be taking names."

Foreign leaders and liberal media members warned of bloodshed and devastating damage to the "peace process" if Trump's decision went through. Those warnings appear to have been overblown.
