Some New York Times staffers are concerned about the paper's lack of favorable coverage of Hillary Clinton, according to noted media expert Eric Boehlert.

The revelation is noteworthy in light of a Free Beacon report on the Clinton family's $100,000 donation to a New York Times charity fund in 2008, the same year the paper endorsed Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination. The Times initially rebuffed the Free Beacon's request for comment, before telling POLITICO's Dylan Byers that the story was "preposterous." The Times has refused to say when the donation occurred.

The Times and the Free Beacon also sparred last week after the Free Beacon noted that the Hillary Clinton advocacy group American Bridge had filed requests for documents that were used in a Times hit piece on Marco Rubio's history of traffic infractions. The Times denied getting tipped off by American Bridge, claiming three of its reporters had independently stumbled upon the same traffic documents days after American Bridge logged a formal request in Florida.
