Tech billionaire and Hillary Clinton donor Elon Musk reportedly chastised an employee for missing a company event to witness the birth of his child.
Ashlee Vance recounts the story of one of Musk’s coworkers at Tesla in her forthcoming book, Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future, by Ashlee Vance. The anonymous employee recalled getting an angry email from Musk after skipping out on work to be with his birthing wife:
"That is no excuse. I am extremely disappointed. You need to figure out where your priorities are. We’re changing the world and changing history, and you either commit or you don’t."
Musk contributed $4,600 to Hillary Clinton’s first failed presidential campaign in 2008, and has donated between $25,000 and $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation. He attempted to walk back his support for parental neglect in a series of Tweets:

It is total BS & hurtful to claim that I told a guy to miss his child's birth just to attend a company meeting. I would never do that.

It is unclear if Hillary Clinton, a mere multi-millionaire, shares multi-billionaire Musk's views.
