There was a Colts-Pats game Saturday. New England won. At least, I think they won. I really wasn't paying attention to the game. I was watching ... sideline reporter Allie LaForce. I was asking ... where has she been all my life?
Apparently she's been in Ohio. And on the CBS Sports Network. But Saturday was her big-time debut. And I predict major things from this cub reporter. Major. Things.
She got her start reporting on CBS's March Madness broadcast. Basketball is her first love. She played for Ohio University's basketball team before becoming involved in journalism. Speaking for journalism, I can say we are grateful.
Allie's no stranger to pressures of live television. Her skills were forged in the hottest of crucibles, the same furnace that has produced Miss 'Murica, fellow newswomen, and Wonder Woman.
As Miss Teen Ohio, Allie toppled Miss Michigan to win Miss Teen USA 2005.
She won the competition with her elegant grace.
To my dozen readers: Let CBS know that an AFC championship game without Allie LaForce on the sideline will be the championship of suck. Writer a letter. Pick up the phone. Get on the Allie train. Because it's going places.
Can't wait for this year's College World Series.
