Trump Scolds Mexican Presidents Who Say They Won't Build The Wall: 'The Wall Just Got Ten Feet Taller'

February 25, 2016

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said the famous wall he wants to build on the southern border with Mexico "got 10 feet taller" after the last two Mexican presidents said they would never pay for any such wall.

"If you don't get an actual check from the Mexican government ... how are you going to make them pay for the wall?" CNN debate host Wolf Blitzer asked, citing Trump's consistent promise to make Mexico pay for it.

"I will, and the wall just got ten feet taller, believe me," Trump said, as the Texas audience roared.

Former president Vicente Fox remarked he was not going to pay for "that fucking wall" during an interview on Fusion earlier Thursday, and Trump reprimanded him for using the vulgar language.

"I can only tell you if I would've used even half of that word, it would have been national scandal," Trump said. "This guy used a filthy, disgusting word on television, and he should be ashamed of himself, and he should apologize."

Trump added if he built the wall, it would cost $10 to $12 billion.

"If these guys do it, it'll end up costing $200 billion," Trump said, pointing at his Republican competitors on the stage. "This is a wall that's going to work. Mexico will pay for it, because they are not doing us any favors."
