Fox News contributor Ralph Peters blasted President Obama's continued reliance on diplomatic negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin Wednesday on The O'Reilly Factor.
Peters said the Ukrainian military faces a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation in their standoff with unmarked Russian soldiers. If the Ukrainian military opens fire on the unmarked militias, it is possible they could end up firing on their own citizens, Peters said. However, Peters pointed out if the military takes no action "Putin's already got what he wants."

Amid this impossible quandary for the Ukrainians, the retired colonel blasted President Obama for continuing in vein to negotiate with Putin.
"We've watched him, as Obama pleads, ‘please, Mr. Putin, please talk, let's talk, let's negotiate.' Putin has first taken over administrative buildings in three cities. Now he is up to 11 cities in major towns. His thugs all over the place. And we are pretending that somehow negotiations are going to get Putin out. They didn't get him out in Crimea," Peters said.
O'Reilly interjected he does not believe anyone is pretending you can really negotiate with Putin, to which Peters reacted incredulously.
"Oh no, I think President Obama really believes it. President Obama believes you can negotiate with cancer tumors. He is a fool and weakling and sanctions could have hurt, real sanctions."
