Republican senator and presidential candidate Tim Scott (S.C.) said President Joe Biden has "blood on his hands" after Hamas terrorists murdered more than 1,200 Israelis.
"While Hamas carried out these attacks, Joe Biden has blood on his hands," Scott said during a Tuesday event at the Hudson Institute. "His weakness invited the attack, his cash giveaways to Iran helped fund terrorism, and after the attack his administration suggested that Israel just stand down."
Scott added that Biden's actions are "a disgrace."
Reporting by the Washington Free Beacon shows that Iran has collected $80 billion in illicit oil sales since Biden took office. The Wall Street Journal reported that Iranian security officials gave the green light for the attack on Israel that left more than 1,200 dead, though the United States and Israel said they are unsure whether Iran was involved in planning the attack.
The GOP has repeatedly slammed the White House for its mixed messaging on Israel, saying it helps embolden Hamas. The Washington Free Beacon reported that Biden administration officials knew its Palestinian aid money could benefit Hamas.
Biden has voiced unequivocal support for Israel following last weekend's massacre. Secretary of State Antony Blinken is traveling to Israel in the coming days to show solidarity with the Jewish state. The White House has also blasted far-left Democratic lawmakers' comments on the situation as "repugnant."
