White liberals just can't help themselves. After a brief period during which many were compelled to purchase reading material on "white fragility" and "how to be an anti-racist," they quickly returned to a topic of greater interest and comfort: the badness of Donald Trump.
John Bolton, the former national security adviser to President Trump, is publishing a memoir next week. Most of the juicy tidbits were revealed on Wednesday as journalists pored over advance copies of the book, which instantly shot to number one on the Amazon bestseller list. Aggrieved libs struggled to reconcile their intense hatred for Bolton with their intense joy at reading bad things about Trump.

The heightened interest in Bolton's forthcoming memoir—The Room Where It Happened—was enough to overtake the newfound interest in "anti-racist" books that white liberals had been posting about on Instagram. Among them: How to Be an Anti-Racist by Ibram X. Kendi, White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo, who is white, and So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo.
Those titles had been dominating the Amazon charts for several weeks until Bolton's book hit the preorder market. Also rising up the charts is a forthcoming memoir by Donald Trump's niece, Dr. Mary L. Trump. The book, scheduled for release in late July, purports to document "a nightmare of traumas" and "destructive relationships" within "one of the world's most powerful and dysfunctional families."
Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man has been jockeying for the number two slot on the Amazon bestseller list, occasionally beating out How to Be an Anti-Racist for the honor of being the runner-up to Bolton's memoir.
It was only a matter of time before the white libs returned to their safe space. At the end of the day, expressing opposition to Trump should be enough to prove they aren't racist so people will stop being mad at them. It's the best part about being a white lib!
