The CEO of JPMorgan Chase delivered a stern warning about the current geopolitical situation amid Israel's war with Hamas.

"This may be the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades," CEO Jamie Dimon said in a Friday statement.

The war in Ukraine, Hamas's invasion into southern Israel, and the imminent ground invasion of the Gaza Strip "may have far-reaching impacts on energy and food markets, global trade, and geopolitical relationships," Dimon said.

He also cited the national debt, which has continued to balloon under President Joe Biden, and "the largest peacetime fiscal deficits ever."

Dimon's comments come as the Biden administration has seen broad pessimism among the public about the economy amid record-high inflation. More than half of voters believe the economy is in a downturn and is going to get worse, according to a CNN poll published in August.
