Singer and songwriter Joy Villa made a statement once again at the annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night when she opted to wear a dress that showcased her pro-life views on the red carpet.

After expressing her support for President Donald Trump with a "Make America Great Again" dress last year, Villa appeared on the red carpet Sunday in a white dress with a hand-painted image of a fetus surrounded by rainbows and a "choose life" purse.

"I'm a pro-life woman," Villa told Fox News. "This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet like I always do."

Villa stated she hand-painted the dress in an effort to "spread love and hope," and to encourage more people to choose adoption as an alternative to abortion.

"I believe in loving the child and the mother, and I am proudly #ProLife. There is so much pain out there, but I choose to spread love and hope," Villa posted on Instagram along with a photos of herself on the red carpet. "I hand painted my @pronovias gown with a hand painted (by me) recreation of my daughter portrait I painted in 2007 at 20 years old 8 months pregnant with my beautiful daughter, whom I adopted out to a wonderful family."

"I’m incredibly blessed to have given life, and I hope to encourage anyone in a similar situation to choose adoption," Villa wrote.

Villa has not shied away from making her political views known in Hollywood, a setting dominated by celebrities who have been at the forefront of the movement to delegitimize the president and his administration. During the 2017 Grammy Awards, Villa surprised many attendees by wearing a blue and red dress embroidered with President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign slogan.
