Giggly Sean Hannity Assures Donald Trump He'll Vote for Him

June 1, 2016

A giggly Sean Hannity assured presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump that he would vote for him in November during their lengthy interview on Fox News Tuesday night.

After Trump's combative press conference where he railed against the media as sleazy and dishonest, he told Trump that he was not one of the "corrupt" press members and would support him in the fall.

In a rare attempt to make news with one of his questions, Hannity had asked Trump if he had made any progress in who would be in his cabinet or serve as vice president. Trump, per usual, offered little specifics.

"In my own mind, I already have them," Trump said. "I can't tell you who they are yet. It's just too soon. I want to save a little bit of suspense for the convention ... With the vice president, as you know, probably if you think about it, there are 10 and maybe you boil that down to five, but some people that are really, really good, and we'll see what happens."

"Any surprises?" Hannity asked.

"Could be, could be," Trump said.

Hannity laughed.

"You're not giving me anything," Hannity said, grinning. "You know, I am not the corrupt press. I'm actually the conservative."

"You happen to be right about that," Trump said.

"Well, I'm an opinion show, and I don't hold back that I'll be voting for Donald Trump in November," Hannity said.

"Thank you," Trump said.

Hannity has drawn criticism for his fawning treatment of the billionaire through their interviews and coverage of Trump's rise to the Republican nomination. Through it all, the longtime host has insisted that he was fair to all candidates and didn't give Trump preferential treatment.
