Honest Mistake: McDonald's Cashier Thought Bill Clinton Was Joe Biden

Slick Willy has a lot in common with Sleepy Joe

Bill Clinton walked into a McDonald's restaurant on Sunday. Not the one in Alameda, Calif., where Kamala Harris claims (without evidence) to have worked. This happened in Georgia, where the Harris campaign has unleashed "Slick Willy" in an effort to bolster the candidate's abysmal reputation among normal male voters.

The former president, presumably eager to be recognized, had his hopes dashed momentarily when a Golden Arches employee stared at him for several seconds before asking, "You Joe? Mr. Joe?" When Clinton finally introduced himself, the employee squealed and asked for a hug. Clinton was more than happy to oblige, obviously.

It was an honest mistake. Most normal Americans—people with real jobs and a minimal interest in politics—would be unable to tell the difference between these two very old white guys. They don't just look alike. Clinton and Biden have a lot of other things in common, according to the results of a Washington Free Beacon analysis.

Clinton and Biden are two very grumpy, very old men. Clinton was elected president more than 30 years ago, but he's still younger than Biden, who is technically still the president as of this writing. Both men have exceeded the average life expectancy for American men, which was 74.8 years as of 2022. They are also notorious egomaniacs prone to sudden outbursts of anger.

During the Democratic primary election in 2008, Clinton was often red-faced and furious while defending his wife and ranting about Barack Obama's inexperience. "[Clinton's] so-called 'purple fits' and 'earthquakes' have been a constant to those who have worked with him," the New York Times reported. "Some have dealt with it by avoiding him, others by simply responding with silence."

Biden aides have also complained about being terrified of his "quick-trigger temper." Axios reported last year that White House staffers "try to avoid meeting alone" with Biden because they feared being subjected to an expletive-filled outburst. In one of his final interviews before dropping out of the 2024 election, Biden threatened to beat up a journalist who questioned his fitness to serve as president.

Clinton and Biden are both "handsy" individuals who have been credibly accused of sexual assault. The allegations against the powerful Democrats facilitated the 2020 demise of the "Me Too" movement, which was purportedly dedicated to holding powerful men accountable for their deviant behavior. Kamala Harris's husband, Doug Emhoff, is currently benefiting from the mainstream media's refusal to believe women who accuse Democrats of sexual violence.

Even their spouses are similar. Clinton and Biden are married to ruthlessly ambitious "blonde" women who crave power and enjoy wielding it to crush their enemies. Hillary "Rodham" Clinton still hasn't gotten over her humiliating defeat in 2016, and "Dr." Jill Biden was widely believed to have been the driving force behind her husband's initial refusal to withdraw from the race earlier this year. "She likes power," historian Douglas Brinkley said of Jill Biden. "She wants to stay. She wants some sense of revenge."

These factors—egomania, anger issues, ruthless spouses—have resulted in tense relationships with Barack and Michelle Obama over the years. Bill and Hillary Clinton are clearly still bitter about losing the Democratic nomination to Obama in 2008, while Joe and Jill Biden have expressed resentment over Obama's refusal to support Biden's presidential ambitions in 2016 and 2020.

There is even some evidence that both Bill Clinton and Joe Biden are—for whatever reasons—attempting to undermine the Harris campaign. Earlier this month, when Harris attacked Ron DeSantis, the Republican governor of Florida, calling him "utterly irresponsibly" for refusing to take her call, Biden threw his VP under the bus by praising DeSantis for his "fully cooperative and supportive" response.

Meanwhile, Bill Clinton made some bizarre comments on Monday while ostensibly campaigning on Harris's behalf in Georgia. Clinton suggested that Laken Riley, the 22-year-old Georgia nursing student murdered by an illegal immigrant who entered the country during the Biden-Harris administration, would still be alive if her killer had been "properly vetted." Fox News reported that the alleged murderer was "paroled and released for furthering process" after encountering immigration authorities near El Paso.
