Claim: The Daily Mail reported Tuesday that Doug Emhoff, the alleged sex pest and domestic abuser married to Kamala Harris, hired a "trophy secretary" during his tenure at the Venable law firm in Los Angeles.
According to a sex discrimination lawsuit filed against the firm in 2019, Emhoff hired part-time model Katya Calderone to be his legal secretary "because she was young, attractive and friendly with the powerful men in the office." She was "widely considered unqualified" for the job. The name "Katya" would eventually become an office code word for a secretary hired solely because of her looks and willingness to flirt with horny older men.
Our analysis: The fact that Emhoff hired an unqualified model to be his legal secretary is beyond dispute. Our primary goal was to assess the veracity of the claims surrounding Katya Calderone's physical attractiveness and alleged "trophy" status. This involved procuring and analyzing as many photos of the model as we could find.
We were initially surprised to discover that Katya is a ginger. Talk about a red flag!

She once played the role of "Babe 4" during a motorcycle-themed photo and video shoot for Manifest Collective, the fashion brand better known as MANCO.
She likes to play ping-pong and lounge by the pool.
Ironically enough, her father, Vincent Calderone, is an attorney who specializes in workplace sexual harassment.

But is she hot enough to be considered a trophy?
Crucial context: Democrats and mainstream journalists (forgive the redundancy) have touted Emhoff as an adorable "wife guy." MSNBC's Jonathan Capehart commended the second gentleman for "taking a sledgehammer to toxic masculinity."
In reality, Emhoff is just another Democratic pervert who destroyed his first marriage by sleeping with his children's nanny and getting her pregnant. He is also alleged to have slapped an ex-girlfriend in 2012 because he suspected her of flirting with another man.
Is Emhoff a scumbag? Sure. That doesn't mean he was wrong to hire Katya as his "trophy secretary" at his creepy law firm. We're just trying to figure out whether she deserves the title. And after reviewing the evidence, we believe she (mostly) does. Perhaps the hotshot attorney could have found someone taller and less ginger in Los Angeles, of all places, but after an exhaustive analysis, we understand why Emhoff's fellow partners wanted a "Katya" of their own.
