President Donald Trump on Wednesday called for "sneaky" Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) to face a tough primary challenge in 2018.
Trump responded on Twitter to a decision by Feinstein to release the transcript of a Senate Judiciary Committee interview with Fusion GPS' Glenn Simpson. Simpson's interview pertained to the Steele Dossier on Trump that was compiled by his firm during the 2016 campaign.
Committee chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) was upset with Feinstein, the committee's ranking member, for releasing the information unilaterally.
Trump joined the committee chairman in criticizing Feinstein for releasing the information without Grassley's consent.
"The fact that Sneaky Dianne Feinstein, who has on numerous occasions stated that collusion between Trump/Russia has not been found, would release testimony in such an underhanded and possibly illegal way, totally without authorization, is a disgrace," Trump tweeted. "Must have tough Primary!"

The greatest chance for Feinstein to lose her reelection bid is during a primary, as California leans heavily Democratic. The 84-year-old, who has served in the Senate since 1992, announced in October that she would run for reelection in 2018. In response to her announcement, the Democratic Party's progressive wing and liberal journalists were quick to oppose her decision.
Disclosure: The Washington Free Beacon was once a client of Fusion GPS. That relationship ended in January 2017. For more information, see here.
