Committee Approves Naming ‘Mount Reagan’ in Nevada

The House Natural Resources Committee voted on Wednesday to approve a bill naming a Nevada mountain after President Ronald Reagan, Fox News reports.

Rep. Joe Heck (R., Nev.) introduced the bill that would name the mountain located just east of Las Vegas.

The bill is expected to push easily through the House, but it may run into obstacles in the Senate. A Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) spokeswoman said, “[Reid] has higher priority land bills for Nevada that he would bring up” for a vote.
