Conservative columnist George Will has joined MSNBC and NBC News as a contributor, Politico reported Monday.
The veteran writer is a longtime columnist for the Washington Post and Pulitzer Prize winner. Politico noted that Will has been a frequent presence on MSNBC and NBC political shows since President Trump was inaugurated in January. The contributor title officially formalizes the relationship.
Will made headlines last summer when he announced he had left the Republican Party after Trump made racially charged remarks about a Mexican judge.
Other recent additions to MSNBC's contributor roster include Barack Obama's final White House press secretary, Josh Earnest, and New York Times reporter Glenn Thrush.
