The New York Times published an op-ed from its editorial board that took aim at the messiness between Hillary Clinton and donations that foreign governments made to the Clinton Foundation during her time as Secretary of State. The Times also highlighted that Clinton has not spoken about the issue and the campaign has merely brushed it off as a partisan attack.
During "Inside Politics" host John King said that the Clinton campaign needs to do more because the controversy surrounding them is not going to go away. Jackie Kucinich agreed and also pointed out that the longer the controversy is out there and it will be because of the book Clinton Cash coming out in May, the situation is not going to get better.
"There needs to be answers for this and it can’t be ‘well this guy is a right-wing nut job,’" said Kucinich. "This in The New York Times! There isn’t a good argument there right now."
King agreed and said that the tactic to deflect and claim the attack is partisan and from the Clinton playbook. He also said for the Clintons it does not matter if there are any actual facts in the attack against.
