Newark Mayor Cory Booker, a staunch Democratic supporter of President Obama, had high praise for his decision to roll his reelection campaign into a nonprofit advocacy group for his second-term agenda during an interview with Soledad O'Brien on CNN.
"I love what he did with turning ‘Obama for America' to ‘Organizing for America,' that all of us start to step up and say, ‘We can play a role in the destiny of our country,'" Booker said. "I hope to hear that, but at the end of the day, this is one of the greatest speakers that we've seen in my generation, and I'm very confident that he's not only going to lift us up, but he's going to challenge us a country as well."
