Mitchell: Hillary is Pro-Israel in Ways Obama is Not

‘Lack of Trust’ between Netanyahu and Obama

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell argued Hillary Clinton would have a better working relationship than President Obama with the Israelis due to her being "uncategorically supportive" of Israel.

"One of the things that was really overlooked in Hillary Clinton's interview with Jeff Goldberg is that she disagreed with President Obama on Iran, on the Iran negotiations, and on Israel. If you read what she said about Israel, she is uncategorically supportive of Israel in ways this president is not," Mitchell said on Morning Joe.

The Obama-Netanyahu relationship has been tumultuous over the president’s time in office.

On Wednesday the Wall Street Journal described a recent call between the two as "combative."

WSJ reports:

U.S. officials said Mr. Obama had a particularly combative phone call on Wednesday with Mr. Netanyahu, who they say has pushed the administration aside but wants it to provide Israel with security assurances in exchange for signing onto a long-term deal.

Just 30% of voters approve of the way Obama is handling the conflict between Israel and Hamas, according to a new McClatchy poll.
