CNN is using Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum's positive comments about the network in an official CNN promo.
The TV spot uses Gillum's comments from the CNN debate on Sunday, in which Gillum faced off against former Congressman Ron DeSantis. Gillum went after DeSantis for being deceptive, saying he should do better since they're on CNN.
"This is CNN not Fox, you have to bring facts to the conversation," Gillum said while dramatic music plays in the background. Then a graphic appears with the CNN logo, saying "Facts First." The promo is only about seven seconds long.
In 2017, CNN unveiled a new "Facts First" ad campaign where many of the promos included a narrator talking about apples.
