CNN has said that it will not hire former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

CNN told BuzzFeed that it is not interested in Scaramucci, who did not last two weeks in his post, the Hill reports.

Scaramucci does have experience in cable news: he hosted a show on Fox Business and has been a contributor on Fox News.

The Hill also contacted Fox News and MSNBC to ask the networks if they were interested in potentially bringing Scaramucci aboard, but have not heard back yet.

CNN may not be interested in hiring Scaramucci because of his contentious statements against the network that stem from his relationship with President Donald Trump. Trump has led the charge against CNN, labeling the cable news giant as "fake news."

Scaramucci was terminated on Monday by the new White House chief of staff, John Kelly.
