New York Times columnist Paul Krugman is a wealthy partisan hack who, like most partisan hacks, is unable to resist the allure of Twitter. When a steaming hot take enters his brain, Krugman is rarely dissuaded from sharing it with the world. He types it in the little white box. He presses the "Tweet" button.
Krugman logged into his account Monday evening, for example, to put President Donald Trump "on blast" for awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to golf legend Tiger Woods, who recently ended his Obama-era drought on the PGA tour by winning The Masters at Augusta National.
I'm old enough to remember when Presidential Medals of Freedom were given for showing courage and making sacrifices on behalf of the nation and the world. Tiger Woods ... hits golf balls for money https://t.co/dYmWPVljL9

Krugman, 66, evidently does not remember President Barack Obama's eight years in office, and all the Presidential Medals of Freedom he fastened around the necks of aging celebs. Or perhaps Krugman does remember, and he just earnestly believes the following individuals were truly deserving of the honor for "showing courage and making sacrifices on behalf of the nation and the world," rather than doing frivolous activities for money.
Presidential Medal of Honor recipients under Obama include:
- Michael Jordan
- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
- Meryl Streep
- Steven Spielberg
- Robert Redford
- Robert De Niro
- Tom Hanks
- Yo-Yo Ma
- Bob Dylan
- Stevie Wonder
- Gloria Estefan
- Barbara Streisand
- James Taylor
- Diana Ross
- Bruce Springsteen
- Warren Buffett
- Tom Brokaw
- Lorne Michaels
- Joe Biden
Congrats on the take, moron.
