Many people and celebrities have been logging onto social media to express outrage about the officiating in the NFC championship game between the New Orleans Saints and the Los Angeles Rams.
More attention should be paid, however, to the disgusting display of referee favoritism during the AFC championship game between the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Patriots" versus the "Chiefs." Interesting. You can probably guess which side the NFL referees preferred.
The following video clip from the AFC championship game takes place prior to the overtime period, during which the Patriots won the game by a touchdown. The Chiefs never got a chance to possess the ball.
The clip clearly shows a Patriots player demanding the ball to begin the overtime period. "We want the ball!" he barks at the referee, who immediately complies without the slightest hesitation. Collusion?
It's difficult to watch this clip without being reminded of the egregious display of racism recently captured on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The referee's callous smirk recalls the facial expressions on the mob of Catholic high school students in MAGA track suits filmed verbally assaulting a Native American veteran without provocation. The Patriots-Chiefs dichotomy further links these outrageous incidents in a rancid cauldron of resentment, bigotry and national shame.
Not surprisingly, President Donald J. Trump was eager to congratulate the Patriots on their tainted victory.
Congratulations to Bob Kraft, Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and the entire New England Patriots team on a great game and season. Will be a fantastic Super Bowl!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 21, 2019
Trump has made no secret about his personal friendship with Kraft and Brady. Shortly after taking office in 2017, Trump invited the entire Patriots team to the White House, where he was presented with a personalized gift. Just look that grin!
In case that wasn't suspicious enough already, consider the tweet Trump sent midway through the game, appearing to suggest prior knowledge of a predetermined outcome.
