The past four months have been tough.
In early May, the Washington Free Beacon learned that Kate Upton was engaged to Justin Verlander. We declared it an American tragedy, and tried to move on. "If you truly love something, you have to know when to let it go," I was told. Over the summer, The Free Beacon had no Kate Upton.
Last week, we gave in. First, I started off the NFL season by attaching her fine name to my Jets pick and it worked—the Jets covered. Then Free Beacon executive editor Sonny Bunch took it to another level by formally endorsing Upton for president of the United States.
Now that the seal has been broken, I'm going to make up for lost time. Here are my eight picks for week 2, along with pictures we missed during our Kate Upton hiatus:

Upton looks just as good as she did when we left her in May, and it's no accident—she has been putting in the work.
New Orleans Saints AT New York Giants
Pick: Saints +4.5
I love that she brings her dog to the gym with her. I might even go to the gym if I could bring my dog.
Or Upton's dog, obviously. Look, it just lays at her feet as she does some exercise that I've never seen before.

It clearly wasn't all hard work for Kate Upton this summer. The above picture was taken on her birthday and it looks like she went hard.
She wore, in my opinion, one of the best designed dresses of all time.
