Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon recently celebrated their fifth anniversary by renewing their vows at Disneyland, which was shut down for them, their twins, and 250 of their sorta-kinda-closest friends.
Page Six provides the details:
Carey, 43, wore an extravagant corseted wedding gown with a dramatic train and adorned her head with a diamond tiara. Naturally, the princess bride arrived in a Cinderella-style pumpkin carriage to see her 32-year-old Prince Charming waiting. The couple walked down the aisle clasping the hands of their twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who were dressed as a little prince and princess.
Mariah bragged about shutting down the theme park, instragramming, "On our way to renew our vows. I love you @nickcannonogram shut down Disneyland KKLB."
Depriving children of the Happiest Place on Earth was not enough for Mimi. She also periodically interrupted the ceremony to film it in five-second segments, even inventing an obnoxious hashtag, #donthatemebecauseimadiva.
Talk about having a tin ear. Mariah is embroiled in controversy. Declining leviathan "American Idol," in which she stars, is currently experiencing its worst season ever. And one of the reasons for that decline, it is largely speculated, is Mariah’s general #donthatemebecauseimadiva attitude and her frequent, tedious clashes with co-judge Nicki Minaj.
This Zeppelin is sinking fast. It's been leaked that producers may be planning on firing Mariah and replacing her with Jennifer Lopez. Spending all of her time on Instagram and ruining the day for kids who just want to see Mickey and Minnie isn't going to make things any better for Mariah. All the glitter in the world won't save her now.
In case you missed it, Mariah dropped a free pro-Obama diddy called ‘Bring It On Home’ on Election Day 2012. It's worth about as much as it costs to download.
