Since his election in 2016, President Donald Trump has been a tireless champion for the cause of female equality, especially as it relates to sports.
On Trump's watch, for example, the United States women's national soccer team won the World Cup in 2019 and broke the record for most goals (13) scored by a team during a single match.
Last month, Trump presided over Vanderbilt kicker Sarah Fuller's historic extra point attempt, which made her the first female player to record a point for a major-conference football team.
Trump may be on his way out of the White House, but that hasn't stopped him from laboring to achieve female equality in sports. On Tuesday, the last full day of his presidency, Trump oversaw the NFL's announcement that Sarah Thomas would become the first female referee to officiate at the Super Bowl.

Trump has also worked to ensure that America's male athletes are successful against their foreign competitors. On Trump's watch, for example, golf legend Tiger Woods overcame his so-called "Obama Drought" by winning the 2019 Masters, his first major tournament victory since 2005.
