The liberal journalists at CNN love to congratulate themselves for "speaking truth to power." In their view, journalists help "safeguard democracy" by challenging our elected leaders to answer tough questions. In the view of most normal Americans, journalists (especially the ones at CNN) are very annoying.
The so-called reporters at CNN don't report the news, they tell people how to feel about the news. Their approach to interviewing politicians varies considerably based on what party the politicians represent, as opposed to how much power they have. CNN is a place where Republicans go to be pestered with stupid questions, and Democrats go to smile politely while waiting to answer questions that are actually just comments about how courageous they are.
