Donny Deutsch: America Has 'Hillary Fatigue,' She's 'Very Vulnerable'

October 24, 2014

The U.S. has "Hillary fatigue," former CNBC talk show host Donny Deutsch said Friday on MSNBC's Morning Joe.

"I'm going to say it again, I think there's Hillary fatigue," Deutsch said. "I really believe that, on some level, the American public, although they have tremendous respect for her, whether you like her or don't, they want to change the channel."

Deutsch said the prospect of Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) challenging Clinton for the Democratic nomination would further weaken her perception in the eyes of American voters.

"I really believe she's certainly very vulnerable in the national election," Deutsch said. "And with the right candidate challenging her in the primary, I'm not going to say beat her, but really get a run."

Host Joe Scarborough predicted that regardless of whether or not Warren decides to run, the left-wing Massachusetts senator will certainly be offered a position on Clinton's cabinet if she wins in 2016.

"If she goes out and does a great job running against Hillary Clinton, the Clintons won't like it, the Clintons will be angry, the Clinton's will be resentful, the Clinton people might threaten her," Scarborough said. "But you know what'll happen? The same thing that happened to Hillary when she was running against Barack Obama...people will say 'boy, you need her in your cabinet.'"
