Only One Republican Presidential Contender Is Losing to Biden: CNN Poll

Vivek Ramaswamy trails 80-year-old president by 1 point

Every Republican presidential candidate, except for one, is leading President Joe Biden in a CNN poll released Thursday.

Vivek Ramaswamy is the only primary candidate trailing Biden in CNN's poll. He lags behind the incumbent 80-year-old president by 1 point, while Florida governor Ron DeSantis ties with Biden, and every other candidate beats him. Former South Carolina governor and ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley holds the largest lead over Biden in the poll, with 6 points.

Voters are especially skeptical of the job Biden has done in his first term, the poll found. His job approval rating sits at 39 percent, and 58 percent of those sampled had an unfavorable view of him. Just 33 percent reported being proud to have Biden as president, and 28 percent said he inspires confidence.

Ramaswamy has taken criticism for regularly changing his stance on issues, such as aid to Israel, America's commitment to defend Taiwan, and whether the September 11 attacks were an inside job.

Ramaswamy's campaign cut off access to the Free Beacon earlier this week after it reported that the 38-year-old entrepreneur appeared on the podcast of an anti-Semitic YouTuber who has claimed that "Zionists have the Republican Party by the nuts" and that the left and right push for "speech censorship on behalf of big Jewish power."
