Journalists on Twitter slammed President Donald Trump after he told a Jewish reporter at his Thursday press conference to "sit down."
Jewish reporter Jake Turx of Ami Magazine asked Donald Trump how he would address the anti-semitism that has risen since Trump's election. Seemingly angered by the question, Trump told the reporter to "sit down." Ami Magazine tweeted the exchange and asked followers what they thought.

Journalists suggested Trump's response was out of line, according to Independent Journal Review.
New York Times columnist Roger Cohen called the exchange "disgusting."
Disgusting moment, and I measure my words: Trump telling Jake Turx, Jewish reporter, to "sit down" and ordering him to be quiet.

TV Guide Managing Editor Alex Zalben indicated there was irony in Trump's response.
@realDonaldTrump I liked the part where you yelled at a Jewish reporter to sit down when he asked how you were going to combat anti-semitism

"What we are concerned about and what we haven't really heard being addressed is an uptick in anti-semitism and how the government is planning to take care of it," Turx said before citing bomb threats against "Jewish centers."
