The youngest son of Rep. John Conyers (D., Mich.) and his wife Monica Conyers was reported missing Wednesday night in Houston, according to media reports.
Carl Conyers, 21, a student at the University of Houston, was last seen Tuesday afternoon by his roommate at their apartment in South Central Houston, according to police.
Carl Coyners is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 145 pounds, CBS Detroit reported. A police photo was distributed of Conyers with a beard that he has since shaven.
Daisha Lewis, Conyer's girlfriend, spoke with Detroit's WWJ station about the situation.
"He was able to message me on social media, on Twitter, and he asked me to meet him. He asked all his friends to come meet him on campus," Lewis said, according to CBS. "When we got there–I didn't feel right about it or thought maybe he was lying or someone was making him lie to meet us there because when we got there, he wasn't there. When we got back to the apartment, his stuff was gone. He took his ID with him and a debit card and some clothes even. Like it was a distraction to get more stuff that he left behind."
"He didn't take a car with him or a bike so we don't really know how he's getting around right now," she continued. "Like, he left his car keys, he left everything. We don't know where he could be."
Police are urging anyone with information on Conyers' disappearance to contact the Houston Police Department at 713-884-3131 or the Houston Police Missing Persons Division at 832-394-1840.
John Conyers, 87, is the longest serving member of the House, fox News noted.
