Bernie Sanders may have endorsed the presumptive Democratic nominee, but one of his most enthusiastic celebrity boosters has said "nope" to voting for her.
Asked Wednesday whether she believed that fellow Sanders supporters should vote for Hillary Clinton, Susan Sarandon, the actress known for her roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Stepmom, and other classic films, responded with "nope."
Sarandon has previously referred to an indictment of Clinton on charges related to her use of email as "inevitable" and called the former secretary of state "more dangerous than" her Republican rival Donald Trump. "I don’t know if she’s overcompensating or what her trip is," she told the Young Turks web radio program in June. "I think we’ll be in Iran in two seconds. That scares me. That frightens me."
She has also suggested that a Trump presidency might be more beneficial for the country. "You know, some people feel that Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately," she told MSNBC's Chris Hayes. "If he gets in, then things will really explode." Asked whether it was prudent to invite the prospect of a Trump White House, Sarandon added, "If you think that it's pragmatic to shore up the status quo right now, then you're not in touch with the status quo."
Sarandon recently appeared as herself in Zoolander II.
