A 91-year-old Israeli man who survived the holocaust won the 10 kilometer race by a huge margin at the world championship for senior runners in Lyon, France on Monday.
Semion Simkin finished the race 1:20:01, which was more than 20 minutes faster than the 2nd place finisher. The great-grandfather of six also won silver in the 5 kilometer race on Sunday.
"This is a scenario I never even dreamed of," Simkin told Israel Hayom. "I hope that in the future I will still have the strength to continue and to bring honor to Israel."
