Correct the Record, a political organization that supports Hillary Clinton, does not know Clinton’s immigration record.
CNN host Alisyn Camerota asked former DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse to correct the record on Clinton’s flip-flop on immigration.
"Let's look at other issues where Hillary's critics say she flip-flopped, and you correct if need be," Camerota said. "In 2008, she opposed driver's licenses for undocumented immigrants. Now today, she says she supports driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants. That seems like a flip-flop."
During the 2008 presidential race, Clinton said she did not believe illegal immigrants should receive driver’s licenses.
"As president, I will not support driver’s licenses for undocumented people," Clinton said.
In 2014, Clinton held an anti-immigration position on the surge of children that crossed the southern border. Clinton stated her desire to deport the children back to their home in Central America.
Now Clinton has changed her position to fully support a path to citizenship for undocumented individuals and go beyond President Obama’s executive orders on immigration.
Woodhouse, who works for Correct the Record, didn’t know if Clinton’s 2008 immigration stance was accurate.
"I don't know if that's a flip-flop. I don't know that is accurate of what her 2008 record was in total, and you are talking about an issue in the state of New York.
"But, again, she is--she is in support of immigration reform in a way Republicans are not in terms of bringing these people out of the shadows," Woodhouse said. "It's common sense like the voting issue, and it's common sense we want to do something to have comprehensive immigration reform in the country."
"Things that seem like common sense now are things that politicians like her didn't believe were common sense previously," Camerota said.
